Bandwidth Calculator

This tool estimates how long it will take to download or upload a file, given its size and your connection speed. It's useful for planning large downloads, software updates, or media transfers.

The calculation converts your file size into bits (since speeds are measured in bits per second) and divides by your connection speed: time = (file size in bits) / (speed in bits per second). The result is then formatted into seconds, minutes, or hours depending on the duration.

Example: Downloading a 1000 MB file on a 100 Mbps connection takes roughly (1000 × 8) / 100 = 80 seconds, since 1000 MB equals 8000 megabits and you're transferring at 100 megabits per second.
